Jubilee Album (Sabah pastor fellowship)

Late last month and earlier this month (Sept 2011) i was busy collaborating with Hillside Studio (Penampang). The fellowship granted Hillside the project.

There are 10 songs in the album. The songs mostly composed and arranged by Welon Muyou. Various artistes involved in the project from different churches around Kota Kinabalu.

Today, I am honoured to be invited to SIB Sri Rangan for their debut album launching.

This album is raising fund for their newly bought building in Kota Belud.

Music Arrangement - Puteri

Jass called me few days ago to make an appointment today (saturday) he wanted me to put in and lay out few tracks. Around 1pm, we started to put in piano, guitar and string section.

Not bad for 2 hours session, for the record it's Nasyid song so yea.. i m sort of doing all kind of music :).

Zoz Bass Recording Session

Amy Zoz's bassist came over to my home studio to record his part. So far he had done a few songs - Bangkit, Domba Allah, Hold Me, Selalu and Tetap percaya.

SIB Sri Rangan

Finally after months of recording, mixing and mastering session - I had completed everything last night.

SIB Sri Rangan is a church located in the heart of Pekan Kota Belud. The main objective of the album is to raise fund for their new church building. Deacon Jemir hoping this album will contribute something to the fund.

Singers that involved in this project are Ps Hamzah, Maitah, Mulia, Hadijah, and Johanes. They are coming from different churches around Kota Belud. The songs are mainly praise and worship.Vocal and music arrangement are nicely done.

The album expected to be out this April. Please support their ministry and buy only original. Want to buy their CD and Karaoke? I post the list of agents once it available.

Music Arrangement - Demobaby and Bohong Lagi

Another 2 arrangements were completed. These two songs were passed to me by Jas (Felix Agus manager).

Bohong lagi - modern music arrangement with Indonesian flavour style. I decided to use unconventional drum sound. No guitar.

Demobaby - typical Malaysian music. I added some strong synth and lots of guitar sound.

ZOZ Recording session

Zone of Zion or simply known as ZOZ had approached me last year for their intention to make an album. After several recording sessions, last night was the last drum session. 12 songs were recorded at different venue - SIB Alamesra and SIB Tuaran.

ZOZ's drummer Willy were really good at his skill. Not only playing drum but few songs were his composition. Great stuff.

Anyway, i will edit his drum before other musicians come in for their session.

Juara Lagu Dusun (Tambunan)

Tambunan: Last night, pertandingan Juara Lagu Dusun telah diadakan di dewan masyarakat Tambunan. Pertandingan akhir ini telah dianjurkan oleh RTM bahagian dusun.

Malam tersebut telah diacarakan oleh DJ Matinin Yukim. Tepat jam 8 selepas pembukaan rasmi oleh Huguan Siou acara bermula. Persembahan dimulakan oleh Francis Landong dan diikuti oleh beberapa artis-artis lain seperti Dona, Jovell, Wilson, Ridah.

Saya mempertaruhkan dua lagu ciptaan iaitu Au Milo Boroson (Wilson) dan Sopirosi-rosi (Ridah). Setelah keputusan dibuat juara pada tahun ini ialah lagu yang dibawa oleh Francis Landong, Dona (vokal terbaik dan lirik terbaik), Ron (persembahan terbaik), Ester (artis popular).

Secara keseluruhan, pertandingan pada kali ini dapat memperlihatkan perkembangan yang baik. Dari segi persembahan dan susunan muzik yang mantap. Tahniah kepada pemenang.

Midi project - Club can't handle me

Nora had been a lounge singer for years now. The setup is simple, keyboard with MIDI capability and fews singer.

For years, she has been my loyal customer and friend. Last two weeks she requested few latest songs to be trascribed to MIDI. The last two were Stand by Juwita Suwito and Flo Rida - Club can't handle me.

Transcibing modern song with GM is challenging. However, you have to come up with something with its limited sound.Published with Blogger-droid v1.6.7

Ridah's new song - Tomodon Nu.

Last two weeks, her manager approached and asked me to compose new song for her single.
Past few days I still couldn't get good and right melody for the song. But slowly it coming in.
The song is about the feeling of a girl who in love with a man but that 'lovely' man is just playing fool with her. The song 'Tomodon nu' is all about that.
I hope the fan will enjoy this one as they did for 'Sopirosi-rosi'.
